ESCHE advises SOCOTEC in Acquisition of Schollenberger Kampfmittelbergung GmbH

SOCOTEC, a leading provider of testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services headquartered in Guyancourt, France, has acquired all shares in SK Holding GmbH, a holding company holding all shares in Schollenberger Kampfmittelbergung GmbH.

A team led by M&A partner Greta Groffy (Labor Law).

ESCHE cooperated in the transaction with Fiebinger & Polak, Vienna, Austria, regarding the due diligence of the Austrian business of Schollenberger group.
SOCOTEC Group is market leader in France in building control and a major player in TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) for the construction and infrastructure sectors. The SOCOTEC Group generates consolidated revenue of EUR 700 million (33% outside France) with 200,000 clients. It has operations in 25 countries, 7,400 employees and over 250 forms of external recognition.

Schollenberger is the market leader in the civil explosive ordnance detection market in Germany and Austria. With 400 employees and from 10 sites, Schollenberger provides a wide spectrum of services in connection with ground investigation and testing services. Since 2016, Schollenberger was held by Private Equity Fund Finatem and the management.

Following the acquisition of Pielok & Marquardt and ZPP Ingenieure in 2017 and of PSP Tunnelling Engineers in early 2018, the acquisition of Schollenberger is already the fourth completed acquisition ESCHE has advised SOCOTEC Group on.
