Strength through Diversity

As an international law firm, we have clients and employees who come from many different countries and cultures. In this respect, we recognise the value of diversity and practise it on a daily basis.

Our colourful ESCHE team consists of an impressive variety of 240 unique personalities, representing 51 different cohorts. Bringing together these different backgrounds and skills creates a broad spectrum of experience, perspectives and expertise that enables us to advise and support our clients at the highest level.

In addition, our team is fluent in a variety of languages. In addition to German, we speak English, French, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Latvian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese. This linguistic diversity enables us to communicate and support our international clientele smoothly.

What does diversity mean to us?

For us at ESCHE, diversity means that we not only comply with the requirements of the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), but are also open to employees, clients and other third parties, regardless of age, gender, race and ethnicity, religion/belief, disability or sexual orientation.

Diversity is a top priority in our corporate culture. As a signatory to the Diversity Charter, we value and promote the diversity of our ESCHE team and our clients. This also means that we encourage our employees and partners to actively contribute to the implementation of diversity.

How do we live diversity?

When putting together our teams, we focus on ensuring that every team member has sufficient opportunity to contribute themselves and their ideas. The internal exchange should be characterised by mutual appreciation and respect. Our experience shows that mutual respect for others is conducive to the development of creative solutions.

The culture of openness is a key reason why we are able to discover and develop the talents and potential of our employees at an early stage.

Why is diversity so important?

Diversity is not just lip service at our law firm. The past few years have shown us that a culture of openness plays an increasingly important role both in the recruitment of new employees and in the acquisition of new mandates. The increasing globalisation of the world inevitably leads to an ever greater internationalisation of the world of work. As a large consultancy firm, we can only rise to this challenge if we truly practise diversity. It goes without saying that we provide our employees with a non-discriminatory working environment. In this respect, we naturally take the personal characteristics of our employees into particular consideration. We also encourage our team to stand up for diversity.
