Our employment law team advises employers on all questions of individual and collective employment law with a focus on internal, employment-related company restructurings, co-determination issues, collective bargaining law, agreements with work councils and the structuring and termination of employment contracts and executive service contracts.  


Our consulting services

  • Planning and implementation of structural changes and restructuring measures including transfers of undertakings (e.g. outsourcing); providing advice and support in negotiations regarding the balancing of interests and employee compensation in the event of changes in business operations, including representation in proceedings before mediation boards
  • Drafting and negotiating (inhouse) wage agreements and financial rescue agreements as part of collectively agreed company rescue plans
  • Advising on employment law issues regarding the implementation of such measures and legal representation of the employer
  • Due diligence and risk analysis from an employment law perspective for transactional sale or purchase negotiations, drafting employment law provisions in transactional Agreements
  • Implementing business strategies in terms of the law on works councils / employee representation, providing advice and support on issues of co-determination, providing advice and support in the conclusion of works agreements regarding working time, compensation models, IT security etc., representation before mediation boards and in resolution proceedings
  • Providing advice and support on the election of employee representatives onto the supervisory board

Employment relationships:

  • Advising on legally watertight employment contracts including provisions on variable compensation models and flexible working hours, employee participation programs, company retirement provisions and cross-border employee assignments
  • Providing advice and support in the implementation of the employment relationship, including mobile working, structuring home working, managing reintegrations into the workplace. 
  • Providing advice and support in the termination of employment relationships, drafting termination and severance agreements as well as partial retirement models, transfer measures, representation in litigation throughout Germany 

Board members:

  • Drafting and negotiating service agreements for chief executives and board members, providing advice and support regarding the termination of service agreements 

Freelancers:

  • Advising and structuring alternative working arrangements on the basis of contracts for services or contracts for the production of a work, drafting framework contracts for freelancers, consultants, interim managers, contracts for the supply of temporary employees
