ESCHE advises Fortino Capital in its investment in SIMCON

Fortino Capital, a European-based growth investor in B2B software, has made an investment in SIMCON, a leading provider of plastic injection molding simulation software. ESCHE advised Fortino on the legal matters of this transaction.

SIMCON was founded by Dr.-Ing. Paul Ferdinand Filz as a spin-off from the Technical University Aachen (RWTH Aachen) and is a leading provider of plastic injection molding simulation and optimization software as well as of related consulting services. SIMCON’s simulation software CADMOULD enables manufacturers to detect and avoid errors before a physical mould is built and consequently assists in avoiding material waste.

Fortino Capital, a European investment firm focused on rapidly growing B2B software solutions, manages two private equity growth funds and two venture capital funds from its offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

ESCHE’s team was led by M&A Partner Dr. Stephan Bauer and included Associated Partner Stefan Gatz (HR) as well as Associates Dr. Lukas Eßers, Alexander Schrep and Benedikt Schwardt (all Corporate/M&A), Julian Leucht (IT/IP) and Laura Iser (HR).
