With the turn of the year, Esche Schümann Commichau expands its partnership and appoints Ms Eva Homborg and Dr Julia Runte as partners and Ms Franziska Karsten, Mr Thomas Schäffer and Mr Dennis Pohlmann as new partners. In addition, Ms Maren Stradner, Mr Julian Leucht and Dr Lukas Eßers are promoted to the position of Associated Partner. We would like to congratulate our new partners and associated partners!

Admission of five partners

Eva Homborg is a lawyer specialising in commercial and corporate law. She specialises in corporate law, manager liability, shareholder disputes and M&A. She also advises on insurance law, in particular in the areas of D&O, fidelity and financial loss liability. Ms Homborg has been listed in the JUVE Handbook for years as one of the ‘Frequently Recommended Advisors in Corporate Law’.

Dr Julia Runte is a lawyer and tax advisor. Her main areas of expertise include legal and tax advice for foundations, other non-profit organisations and wealthy private individuals, as well as advice in the fields of art and culture. Ms Runte has been listed in the JUVE Handbook for years among the ‘Frequently recommended advisors in Hamburg and in the area of succession/assets/foundations’.

Franziska Karsten, LL.M. is a tax consultant specialising in corporate tax law. In particular, she advises owner-managed companies of various legal forms.
Her main areas of expertise include balance sheet tax law, reorganisations and transformations as well as corporate succession.

Thomas Schäffer is a lawyer and tax consultant. He advises on corporate tax law with a focus on tax advice for medium-sized companies. He also specialises in corporate succession and advising on value added tax.

Dennis Pohlmann is a tax consultant and specialist advisor for international tax law. He specialises in advising on the taxation of companies and groups of companies as well as international tax law.

Appointment of three new Associated Partners 

Maren Stradner is a lawyer. She advises on construction and architectural law, real estate and property law as well as plant construction / technical contract law. She also specialises in litigation and general contract and general terms and conditions law.

Dr Lukas Eßers is a lawyer. He specialises in advising on corporate law as well as company sales, acquisitions, restructurings and corporate litigation. He also heads the Dutch Desk at ESCHE.

Julian Leucht is a lawyer. He specialises in general contract law and intellectual property law, including press law, copyright and competition law. He also specialises in IT law and data protection. Mr Leucht has been listed as one of the ‘Ones to Watch’ in IP law by Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers for many years.
