Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation
The Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation seeks to do its part to encourage a new generation trained in law and in business through the sponsorship of theses, dissertations and other scholarly works.
The Foundation was established by Esche Schümann Commichau in 1997 to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the law firm founded on June 21, 1822, by Dr. Johann Carl Knauth. In later decades this law firm was to become the multidisciplinary consulting firm Esche Schümann Commichau, which combines three areas of expertise: legal advice, tax advice and auditing services.
Each year, up to six awardees receive funding. Since the Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation was established it has awarded over 100 grants worth more than 150,000 euros.
