Foundation and Engagement

Through the Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation, we support young talent and help shape the future of law and business. As a member of the Elbphilharmonie Circle, we also contribute to Hamburg’s cultural life, reflecting our belief that education and culture go hand in hand.

ESCHE is committed to education and culture

Sustainable promotion is an integral part of our corporate culture – both in science and in the arts. Through the Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation, we have been supporting young talent in the fields of law and economics for decades.

At the same time, we are committed to the Elbphilharmonie concert hall and its musical projects. Whether in education or culture, our goal is to promote talented individuals, enable innovation, and make a lasting contribution to society.

Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation

Since 1997, the Esche Schümann Commichau Foundation has been committed to promoting young talent in the fields of law and economics. As part of this initiative, six outstanding academic works – including dissertations, postdoctoral theses, and master's theses – are awarded the prestigious sponsorship prize each year. Since its inception, the foundation has supported over 100 award winners with prizes totaling more than EUR 150.000. The foundation was established on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the Esche Schümann Commichau law firm and represents our long-standing commitment to education and science.
