ESCHE advises SOCOTEC on the acquisition of Röhll Munitionsbergung GmbH and Koch Munitionsbergung GmbH
SOCOTEC Deutschland is a leading technical service provider in the fields of testing, inspection, certification and planning for the construction and infrastructure sectors as well as the holding company for the German entities of French SOCOTEC group. Röhll is one of the oldest and most renowned companies in the field of civil explosive ordnance disposal in Europe and is specialized in technically demanding public projects. Koch, which is part of the Röhll-Group since 2024, complements such expertise with its longstanding experience in forest, agriculture, submarine and grid infrastructure projects. Both companies together generated revenues in 2024 of approximately EUR 46 million.
The combination of Schollenberger Kampfmittelbergung, Röhll and Koch under the roof of SOCOTEC Kampfmittelbergung positions SOCOTEC in Germany as industry market leader and expands its capacities to implement large national projects and to offer integrated and reliable security solutions. Furthermore, with these acquisitions SOCOTEC furthers its European growth strategy and strengthens its position in technically demanding mission critical areas.
ESCHE advised SOCOTEC on the legal aspects and on the tax structuring of the transaction. With this project, ESCHE underlines its competence for cross-border transactions between Germany and France.
