ESCHE partner Jan Kind appointed as insolvency administrator for the operating company of the Schweinske restaurant in Bahrenfeld

On September 1, 2025, the Hamburg Local Court opened insolvency proceedings against the assets of Bahrenfeld Vermietung und Verpachtung UG (limited liability) (Ref.: 67a IN 154/25) and appointed ESCHE partner Jan Kind as insolvency administrator for the operating company of the Schweinske Restaurant Bahrenfeld. The company operates the “Schweinske” restaurant in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld, which has around 80 seats and a small outdoor area (beer garden) with approx. 20 seats.

The aim of the proceedings is a transferable restructuring that will ensure the continued existence of the business and the preservation of jobs. Business operations are currently continuing without restriction; there are no operational restrictions such as changed opening hours.

“Our primary goal is to stabilize business operations and secure jobs. In the restaurant industry in particular, quick and practical solutions are crucial to creating a viable future for all involved,” explains attorney Kind from ESCHE.
