The law firm ESCHE SCHÜMANN COMMICHAU has received two awards in this year’s LTO Career Survey: having secured first place in the categories ‘Best Onboarding & Mentoring’ and ‘Best Colleague Support’, the firm ranks among the leading employers in the legal sector.
The awards are based on anonymous evaluations by associates and trainee solicitors and provide a direct insight into the day-to-day working life at one of Germany’s leading multidisciplinary law firms. They reflect a corporate culture that prioritises trusting collaboration and targeted development.
A clear focus on induction and development
“We are delighted to receive this award, and it confirms what has always been important to us at ESCHE: welcoming new team members from day one and making their induction as smooth as we would have wished for ourselves. A structured onboarding process and a dedicated mentoring programme are not just standard practice for us, but an expression of our identity as a firm where people can grow as part of a team,” says Dr Julia Runte, Partner and Head of Marketing at ESCHE.
A key component of this is the buddy programme, in which experienced colleagues personally guide and support new team members.
Collaboration as a key to success
ESCHE also took first place in the ‘Best Colleague Support’ category. The assessment particularly highlights the strong team spirit. Colleagues take responsibility for one another, support each other and actively share their knowledge – a commitment that is consistently put into practice in day-to-day working life.
Gabriele Starke, Head of Human Resources, sees this as a confirmation of the company’s culture. She believes the success demonstrates that strong teamwork and the continuous exchange of knowledge are key factors in positioning the company as an attractive employer within the industry.
Shared success and motivation
This double award recognises the commitment of the entire team. Special thanks go to the colleagues involved in the buddy programme, as well as to all those who took part in the survey.
At the same time, ESCHE sees the results as a clear mandate to continuously develop its offerings for career entry, professional development and collaboration.
